League Rules & Regulations
Spring Season 2026
Match Format & Timing
- Team Structure: 6-a-side (5 outfield + 1 goalkeeper).
- Roster Size: Maximum 12 players registered per team.
- Match Duration: 2 halves x 25 minutes.
- Elimination Games: In case of a draw, 2 halves x 5 mins, followed by penalties if still tied.
- Starting Requirement: Teams must have a minimum of 5 players to start. Fewer than 5 results in a forfeit.
- Delays: Games can be delayed up to a maximum of 10 minutes before forfeiture.
Gameplay & Safety
- NO CLEATS: Football boots with studs are strictly prohibited. Turf shoes only.
- NO SLIDE TACKLES: Slide tackling is not permitted and will be penalized.
- Restarts: Kick-ins are used instead of throw-ins.
- Substitutions: Rolling substitutions are permitted (unlimited).
Discipline & Cards
- Yellow Cards: Accumulating 3 yellow cards results in a 1-game suspension.
- Red Cards: Direct red card results in a minimum 1-game suspension (subject to increase based on severity).
- Red Card Procedure: The sent-off player cannot return. The team must play with one fewer player for 5 minutes before a substitute can enter.
Roster Eligibility (Alumni & Non-AUBG)
- Teams may register up to 2 Alumni OR 2 Non-AUBG players total.
- On-Pitch Limit: Only 1 Alumni AND 1 Non-AUBG player may play at the same time.
- (Example: You cannot have two non-AUBG players on the field simultaneously).
Transfers & Add-Drop
- Add-Drop Week: Game Week 1 is "Add-Drop Week". Transfers and new registrations are free.
- Post-GW1 Lock: No new players can be added after Week 1.
- Post-Group Stage Transfer: Teams may transfer exactly 1 player who is already registered in the league (from another eliminated team). No brand new unregistered players allowed.
Emergency Transfers (Low Roster)
These rules apply ONLY if a team has 5 or fewer available players.
- You may borrow 1 player for two games, OR 2 players for one game.
- Goalkeepers: Goalkeeper transfers are exempt from the "5 players or less" restriction.
